I never really had an interest in the veteran's organization items until I held this, a Bundesverdienstkreuz from Bayern. It is very well constructed and highly detailed.

Nice and interesting one (especially as it is cased) - the text around the medaillon says: For Merits to the Bavarian War Veterans Organisatzion.

Very nice Don and such great shape. These perhaps were Bavaria's answer to the German Field Honor Badge (aka Hamburg Cross). They are similar in design except star spray. The bund also put out a non-enameled variant membership badge. Wish I knew what the criteria were for the different ones. Maybe someday. Very nice badge. Steve
