This is part of a large group I just got in and I wanted to make sure it was ok. The catch is very strange and I think it may be replaced or worse case scenario a fake.

Imo the cross is genuine and heavily worn. The hinge is original, the pin may or may not be a replacement but the catch is a definite repair/replacement. Looks like the cross has brass frames as well.

Many, many thanks for the review! You are right that the frames are brass, That part I actually liked as the wear patterns were consistent. The fakers usually can't get that part right.
