Medal bar with extra swords

Hi everyone,

Here´s one of my latest Imperial medal bars, but with some "extra swords" attached on the Hungarian and Bulgarian ribbon.

I´ve never seen this type of swords on this medals apart from the ribbon bars and much smaller.

Have any of you seen it before?

Swords on these combatant medals is a case of redundancy. However, it is not that uncommon. I have often seen these medals with swords even though they are combatant awards and don't need the extra devices.

It's almost like when the Saxons would wear EK devices on their ribbon bars. There really was no need for them but they look pretty good anyway.
