    Otto Glatz

Can anyone elaborate on the story behind this Sanke-type postcard of soldier Otto Glatz? I can't find anything on this fellow.

Otto Glanz seemed to live on top of the highes (2.900 metres) montain of

    Germany, the Zugspitze.

There is a big hut/house (restaurant) with the owner's family living there and

Otto Glanz must have been the owner or the owners son.

It is written that he would be the "highest" drafted soldier of the Deutsche

    Reich.

The words "I kimm glei" is Bavarian dialect and means " I will come at once"

Sorry, his family name is Glatz - not Glanz!

Thank you Gerdan for your translation , especially of the Bavarian dialect. I would never have figured that out! You've really helped bring this card, and the soldier, to life.
