ribbon question

i just noticed this little ( destroyed ) medal bar and I was wondering what award would be the last ribbon ?

It could be the Turkish half-moon (WWI), the type worn on the bar.

Hi Stijn,

the last ribbon is from the long service medal/cross of Hessen-Darmstadt - I 'll give you some example in the evening today.

Where are your commments to my KDM 70/71 thread....

Its the same cross like the prussian one, only with that red-white ribbon. If the white stripes were more narrow it could be the Kriegsehrenzeichen or the Ehrenzeichen für Kriegsfürsorge from Hessen, but with that ribbon I think it is the Long Service.

the Landwehrdienstauszeichnumg

...or the long service medal for 12 years and the Kriegsehrenzeichen..... many decorations and a few ribbons...

Anyway with having seen al tehse different possibility's it is virtually impossible to ever know wich award was on that last ribbon
