    Single Piece EK2 Opinions Please

    Hello,
Has anyone ever seen an EK2 like this? It is constructed of a single piece from some kind of heavy metal. Not sure what it is, though not lead as it doesn't bend. Definitely appears to be period, but wanted to know what your opinions are as to what it is and an idea of price range for it.
    Thank you,
    Dale

Interesting. Has the same rough pebbled core finish as some of the brass one piece EK1's. It looks like it's made of something other than brass though, maybe zinc? If it's magnetic it will rule out zinc however. Check for that. As something a little different it may go for more than a standard EK2, although similar variants in EK1's haven't seem to catch up to standard EK1's price wise, so who knows? What do others think. Is it original?

If the measurements conform to the standard EK2s, then I would say it is likely a late war zinc'er and legit. Steve

I just checked it and it is not magnetic. It is bigger than the standard WW1 EK2. It is actually the exact same size as a standard WW2 EK2. Any ideas?

I think single piece EK1s are usually described as "inter war", i.e. made in the 1930s so I assume this applies to EK2s as well. This also may explain the size issue..
