Hey Brian,

I am also looking for one that I need for a WW2 German General's uniform......

I have seen two styles of these (not counting the white ones).. One is enamaled and the other is like yours and all metal....

Any idea of what the difference is ?? i.e. is one the issue style from the 20's and the other a replacement from the 40's or ?????

The white ones are fantasies or something completely different and Polish, depending on what specifically it is.

The black enamel versions were just a private purchase type odf supposedly better quality, but my own preference is for the plain metal eagle.

Type in a search on "silesian eagle" and you'll find alllll sorts of pix: these were made for decades, and there are many manufacturers and time period differences.

Thanks guys, Rick hit it on the head. Searching the threads pointed me in the direction of the metal one with 'detail'. Thanks Rick, your advice in the other threads pointed me to this style which is great.
