    Original EK2 1914?

    Hi,
    I need opinions for this EK2. original? fake?
    Looks original,sorry for the bad photos but i can******180;t take best pics.How much would cost at the market?
    is not a schinkel form? am I right?

    I think that the cross is an original however the ribbon looks to have been replaced not too long ago. It (the ribbon) looks
    way too clean and bright compared to the cross.

      I would say the badge is good, but I can't confirm this. These are not the most faked pieces by any means. One of the safer bets right now, but no garuntees either. As for shinkelform, there is no such thing for Imperial crosses. They are all technically shinkelform. The term Shinkelform generally refers to an early form of the 1939 Iron Cross that was of the demensions of the 1914 crosses. The later 1939 EK's became a little bigger than the ones from 1914 and the 39 Shinkels.

          Looks like a good cross to me. You would expect to pay in the region of around EUR 40,00.
