Here's something I've been thinking about for a while. In the interest of restoring doc groups I suggest we set up a registry of our loose documents so that they can possibly be reunited. Here are a few that I can read without too much trouble:
1914 EKII
Unteroffizier Singhoff
Brig. Ersatz Batl. 42, 4 Komp
Awarded 22/5/14
(Rank undecipherable) Karl Johannes Heinrick (?)
Hesse
Awarded 1/11/14
Hamburg Hanseatenkreuz
Unteroffizier Walter Otto
2 Batl Fußartillerie Rgt. 2
Awarded 26-3-17
Whoa, I just discovered I also have his EKI doc as Zallmeister , awarded in 1921. From a different source I don't know how many times I looked at these and never made the connection.
And the more mundane:
Militärpaß
Julius Salzmanga
DOB 15-6-78
Res. Inf. Rgt. 2, 6 Komp. in 1914
Fusilier Johann Phillipp
DOB 26-10-87
Niederrheinisches Füsl. Rgt.39, 12 Komp. in 1918
Rick, you might be deluged with a bunch of chicken scratches soon when I start trying to ID some of this stuff.
