4 WWI Wound Badges for comments

    Hello Wound Badge Guy's:

I am posting these here, although they are WWI. The Moderator may move if he wants.

    My question is:

None appear to have markings, did they not maker mark them in WWI??

Please explain the cut out one. Wiemar Era??

The one that appears gold in color, is it Gold or just a variant of Black??

    Thanks,

    Rich

Wound badges from WW1 were not maker marked. I have seen ones marked DRGM but that is not a maker. The cut out WB is a private purchase jeweller type piece, not an actual award piece. As for the gold one, it might very well be gold by the looks of it but I can't say for sure from the pictures. They did come in gold.

I would post the screwback one on the Imperial Forum for comments.
