It has the right number and looks good from my view. As to value, that is always hard to say. In 2001, these were worth 220 DM. Maybe that would be about $110-150 today? The lion version I've seen on the web between $200-300. Steve

If its a real one, its market value is closer to $200-$240. (I would know because I'm kind of looking for another one myself. They look nice in the riker mounts with the documents) There were a lot of very slight variations to this badge and I've heard they are making some good fakes.

I would ask someone on the forum, that has seen a lot of these badges, for their opinion.

Verkuilen Ager has seen a number of these. I would ask him.
I would be very careful about these-these have been faked for well over 35 years in both germany and the UK.
What are the dimensions and weight. Also do a forum search. there are a couple of old threads about these in the archives.
