To me it looks OK (nothing jumps out as fake) but I have only seen and handled them once or twice before so do not trust me.
I would try posting it on the tinnies and political forum this is where most of the guys who collect this sort of stuff hang out. -

I don't have a problem with this cross and imo it's probably as earlier example. Not a 57er or a fake imo. It looks to have been heavily cleaned though, as the cross should be blackened and the central device should be gilt finished for this variant.
