A friend of mine recently bought the attached submarine badge (I only have this photo of the reverse). Any ideas if it is original or not, name of manufacturer and what is the meaning of the additional stamp?

I'm not sure of the SOURCE of these, but badges (also all the flying ones, etc) with those marks, and incorrect construction like this one, have been showing up for years in Manion's as "museum replicas."
Are they available retail at any actual museum in Germany? Don't know. Are they being fraudulently brought into the country by the crateload, brand new "novelty" items as "old war souvenirs, NCV?" Wouldn't THAT be special!! moremad
Does anyone know who ("Godet" in Berlin, in a current reincarnation? They used to make fakes from original dies, under the Klietmann regime. These sure aren't!) is MAKING these, and where? Or just how many different badges this company dishonoring the famous old name is making?
Technically these fall under the "no intent to deceive replica" category since they ARE marked (whatever the marks mean) and are totally wrong materials and form.
It would be interesting to know what they go for over there AS replicas.

This badge is made by the firm Göde. They produced and produce a lot of replicas of different medals.
Here is their website:
