Unknown marking on 1914 EK2?

Hi Guys, happy with this EK2 re originality, etc...but I simply cannot make out what the marking on the ring is supposed to say?? Would anyone have any suggestions? Cheers, Torsten.

Not sure but it could be CD800

I stared at this one for awhile and the only thing I could come up with was either CD800 or another type of 800 mark, but I'm not convinced. I compared it to my CD800 and the rear core looks alot like it but I'm not sure enough to say so. The ribbon ring looks thicker than most, as is the one on my CD800. Hmmm.

Guys...you are probably right... looking at it again now and turning it round the other way...it does indeed look like CD800 .... I think that this is it... Cheers, Torsten.

Hi Greg, thank you very much for posting the pics ... mmmhh...it does look quite different ... don't you think?? Maybe mine does not say CD800 on the ring after all??? But, I think it certainly does say 'something 800' on it...?? Cheers, Torsten.
