Another EBay 1870 EKII with Oaks

I'm not sure on this one. In one of the shots it looks as if it has a stepped
core. I have always been a little wary of stepped cores on anything other
than 1813s.

I would need other opinions on this one.

Are you talking about the small gap between the beading and the crown?

Yes. From the pictures I can not tell if the core is so loose in the
frame that the edge is showing or if it is a stepped style core.
