    1918 Gas mask safety

    Companeros,
I just purchased a 1918 German Lederschutzmaske and it is in excellent condition. I really dont want to keep it in the cansiter and want to display it with my 1918 Stalhelm . I have kids in the house and I was wondering if there are any dangers to having such an item ion the home?

    thanks

I think there is no problem with this item at home. What do you think could be the dangers ?

      Companero,
I had read an article re: "crystalization" that develops on some WWI gas masks. The article was not specific were this cystalization occurs, I was wondering if it was on the filter and if it was some type of reaction to old gasous material caught in the old filter. Ill post the article if i can find.

      thanks
