    Ek1 1914

    Hi Guys

Judging from this rear photo of a 1914 EK1, would this be original or a fake ?

    Thanks

Just by looking at the back---Original 1914 EK1 made postwar.
This hinge-pin set up was used on 1920s-30s produced EKs.
    Commonly called "replacement" crosses.

Thank you for response. If it is postwar, I shall let let this one pass.

I think he means post WW1, which alot of these are. These 20's and 30's private purchase pieces are considered legit in the collecting community. Post war is considered a bad word if it applies to WW2 pieces.

Thanks for the responses, I did understand Gregs meaning of "post war" in relation to this cross. I usually collect WW2, so this would have been a gap filler piece for my collection. The condition was good, but I am more than happy to hold out for a better conditioned example.

I shall research the EK1 1914 a little further so that I know what to look for.
