i've been looking for a pour le merite and have spotted this one for sale.seller states item is around 1918 manufacture.would this be a private purchase piece ? is it a repro item or ok ? case looks too new to me,advise warmly welcomed,

Run as far as you can from this one! Unless you want the perfect example of a Spanish fake and a Spanish mini fake. The date of manufacture is more like 1998 than 1918. But the date was 'manufactured.' These pieces, while very good replicas, are robbing well-meaning individuals of thousands of dollars. Steve
