Great shot - definitely an officer during the war. The awards are the Albert Order Knight 2nd Class with Swords and Merit Order Knight 2nd Class with Swords. The Albert Order almost looks like it could be a 1st Class.

It is interesting that the Albert Order is in place before the Merit Order...

Albert and Merit Order

I noticed that the Albert Order is in front of the Merit order as well. Could it be a lower class of Merit Order or a much higher Albert Order class? Is that a possible combination? Any precedence? Anybody have a bar with that order?
