Nice looking but does appear the finish is worn...

    A nice cross.

I kinda like them in this honest 'surface worn' condition.

But then I would .... here's my Maybauer - the wear is practically identical to the ebay cross.

The one on ebay at $400 seemed reasonable, but I opted not to bid to hold out for a nicer one. Maybe I should have, mouth's watering a bit at the one's you guys have posted!

                      Hi,

For interest's sake, if you look carefully at the examples posted in this thread, you'll see the two types of Meybauer core. One type is much less common than the other.

                      Regards
                      Mike

Evaluate the item, not the story and not the seller's reputation!

If you PM/contact me without the courtesy of using your first name, please don't be offended if I politely ignore you!

Mike is correct of course and here you may see the slight difference...

I wonder Mike if there is any correlation between these 2 core types and Maybauer crosses marked 'PM' versus those with only the 'Symbol'.
