Kasteel Huis Doorn

Has anyone ever visited the Kasteel Huis Doorn? Are there any Kasier Wilhelm II goodies on display? I am going to be in the neighborhood, and was wondering if it was worth the effort.

I did find a nice website at http://www.huisdoorn.nl/ and it surely looks pretty.

But if there are no ODM displayed, I'd give it a miss.

Haven't been there, but Kube's book "Militaria" has some photos of part of the collection, including one of his uniform closets which is packed full. Looks to be worth the trip. Take lotsa pitchers

Hi Ed,

Asked my father about Huis Doorn as he has been there. He told me that when Kaiser Willhelm arrived in the Netherlands he brought 44 (!) train lorries full of stuff with him. The exposition in Huis Doorn is put together using these items.

Definitely worth a visit !
