    Photo Required ek2 mm Z

Please if possible can anyone show me pictures of the front and rear core sections of a ek2 mm 'Z' as I am trying to work out if my cross is marked 'Z'or 'N'
    Regards Paul

I suspect that this one is a N and not Z because of the orientation of the mark, but I'll post it anyway for reference.

Paul, any chance of a picture of the front of your cross? I'm struggling with the same thing, although my crown is like the one on yours. I have no pictures of mine right now. Thanks.

Thanks. I'm going to check it against mine. See what I can figure out.

I could be wrong, but I thought the marks were stamped perpendicular to the ring vice parallel. So post #9 would be showing a 'Z' on the left and an 'N' on the right. Look at a common 'KO' by comparison. The letters run where you can read them along the ring because you could not punch them around the skinny part and have them legible. This may account for the difference in crown styles because they would be different makes. Steve

                          Thanks for your input Steve,
I am thinking that way now. I have received a picture via P.M from Adam of an ek2 which he thought was a 'z' but now thinks it is a 'n' because of the core detail and letter orientation. What I am hoping for is if someone could post a picture of the core of an ek2 with the letter the same way round as mine so I have something to compare mine to.

Just looked at the core of my cross which I originally thought was a V although Z could be a possiblity also. My core looks different. My crown on the front is lower and so is the date. Crown appears to be similar. Too many variables here to say right now though what the maker is.
