what EXACTLY is the model and class of the Bavarian award?

By "1866" do you mean it is some class of the MILITÄR Verdienst Orden? That, (the Ernestine and Prussian awards suggest status BELOW "officer" and absence of any military long service award suggests a civilian) seems quite unlikely.

the class i con't know - i'm not informed to wutch in them - but its a bronzen cross with rounded arms at the top and i think a "lion" or something like that in the middle rounded from a wreth.
yes, the 1866 is a military medal for Königgrätz (also a crossliked form with rounded arms at the top and an eagle in the middle)

Because that is the Bavarian 1866 CAMPAIGN CROSS--

Bavaria fought alongside Austria AGAINST Prussia... so how he managed to be in the BAVARIAN army AND the PRUSSIAN one at the same time when they were enemies....

Not "fake"-- "parts." The parts are still worth whatever the price of the individual minis works out to, though the bar is just slopped together.
