    1813 IC 2nd Cl

    I thought this was something interesting on e-bay live actions. The price seems a little high for an 1870 piece or am I reading the description wrong? Any opinions from the more knowledgeable members?

    The cross being auctioned is described as a 1813 GRAND CROSS.
    There were only 5 1813 grand crosses ever issued. This is supposedly
    a display version. None of us will ever own 1 of the 5. I doubt that
    any of us on the forum have enough experience to really know if this
    is good or bad. 1813 EK2s are going for $2000. I have never seen
    an original 1813 EK1 for sale but I would guess a least $3500 SO
    $8000 for a period Grand cross---Very possibly.

    I personally don't like this cross BUT that's just me. I would not bid
    on this without a guarentee that I could return it if it turs out being
    fake. I would immediately send it out to people way smarter than
    me to get more opinions.

      The GC above is being offered by Herm. Historica (via live auctions) for around € 6.500,00+.

      The GC below is being offered by Hüsken for € 42.500,00.

      Except for condition, they are identical - and rather a nice looking piece if you ask me.
