    Imperial Trousers Question

Hi I am posting these pictures for member Frank .

    HI to everybody!

I have a trousers that I believe came from the wwI, but I'm not sure. There's some differents with the correct shape I know of the WWI trousers. The back strap is shorter than the others and doesn't have the little clock pocket on the front. The side red pipe seems to hide, below the side pockets...

Any thought about it? And how much could be valued?

                          Frank,

These are not WWI German trousers. The short back belts were only worn on private purchase examples (mostly by officers). Issue trousers always had the long belt. There are other features that are also not from the WWI era. The are most likely from the 1930s or '40's, but would work well on a display mannequin.

                            wwI trousers

                            hi, chip.
                            Thanks for your reply.
I don't agree so much, about the age the trousers own...
Sure, they don't show the classic feature always associated to the regular WWI trousers, as the long back strap. But thay have not also the typical post WWI feature. The red piping (probably hided on the sewn after, between the world wars) is a typical WWI looking, and the stamps too...
                            Is my thought..
                            Cheers and thanks!

                              Frank,

I know this is an old thread, but I saw these trousers again on the Blitzmilitaria forum. So, just an added note. The marking that you have said is of the period 1914-1918 may be, but I have never seen anything with this combination of letters and I am just wondering what you might think this marking means. I think 1.Landwehr Infanterie Bataillon Bayerische is really stretching the imagination. But who knows? I think the belt and the lack of the watch pocket make it impossible for these to have been made before 1919, unless you can tell that they have been altered at some point.
