Shoulder boards, help needed.

I can't identify these three shoulder boards, plase help

Militär-Beamte

Hi Marcin,

the upper pair are a pre 1906 Royal Saxon Army Military Officials set of boards. The silver braid, blue piping and one Rosette would indicate a Militär-Intendantur Sekretär or Militär-Intendantur Registrator.

The second pair is either Saxon or one of the Saxon related duchies. I'm not sure about the backing colors on Beamten boards that are this old. In later imperial times, a red underlay would indicate a Bekleidungsamt official, but I don't know if that is the case here.


The last picture is of a private purchase enlisted man's shoulder strap from the 1.Großherzogl. Mecklenburg Dragoner Rgt. Nr.17. This one has some variation from the standard cypher in that it does not have the Roman numeral normally associated with it. I don't have a problem with this, as the piece is obviously from the period. My guess is that it was left off by the tailor or that this is an earlier version of the cypher.
