Just arrived from Detlev! A nice bronze made "Militär-Sanitätskreuz 1914" from Hessen-Darmstadt. This one with the non-military ribbon. It could be awarded with the "war-ribbon" (same as the bravery medal) too. This cross is a true beauty!

Just to show you...back about a year ago at lowell I passed on a 2 piece bar (EK2 and this) because I thought that this was an unofficial vets' medal-for $35.
Which goes to show you, study, study, study and get illustrations for everything in Hessenthal...
