    Here's a nice Prinzen pair!

Just thought I'd post this pair. The flat Johannniter is silver and measures 31mm. The flat EK 1 is 3-piece; core is iron, front frame is silver, and rear frame is silvered brass. Measures 34mm. Pins are horizontal rather than vertical which is curious!

Very nice. The only other 1914 EK I've seen with a horizontal pin was also a prinzen.

Beautiful stuff. I concur on the horizontal pin being appropriate. I've seen three, all this way. Two were unmarked, one was heavily hallmarked. Nice stuff!

        Hello,
Nice piece, but pins can also be vertical on Prinzen EKs as well.

I have a nice example of one on my web-site. My EK even has the stepped center.

I feel the horizontal pin is more common on prinzen EKs, but not the rule.
        Regards,
        Jody
