Newest item for Mecklenburg! MVK 1. Class

Now I've got one of these. A fine, war-made and proudly worn Military Merit Cross 1. Class of Mecklenburg-Schwerin:

And here is someone wearing of one of these crosses. OLt Cord von Brandis who got (by mistake) the PlM for taking Fort Douaumont at Verdun. In fact Lt Radcke was the first and Hptm Haupt was the second officer who entered the fort. Radcke got only an EK1 and Haupt the PlM too.

Brandis is the guy to the right with the MVK1 below his EKI. At least two of the other guys you might know too

The other guy is Lt Rackow who took Fort Vaux. All three guys got their Pour le Merite this day from the German Kronprinz Wilhelm at Stenay.
