    Silver Wound badge question

I picked up a silver WWI wound badge the other day. It is a solid backed badge with the number 65 above the bottom clip. Is this a makers number? Nice detail and heavy (approx 29.7 grams) Thanks for the input. Mike <img src=http://members.aol.com/fancyf20/babe/64-4.jpg>

Mike--that's a WW2 badge with a perfectly buffed off swastika to de-Nazify it. Somebody didn't take a file blade to this one!

Oh my gosh--they did a heck of a good job to it. Now that you say that I can see what you mean on the helmet. Thanks Rick! Mike

        Hello guys,
Today I saw at my friends antique shop in Mesa, AZ a WW2 gold wound badge by 30 with the swastika perfectly ground off-Wow, two in one day!

Lets not hope it is a trend!

            Hi,

            this piece is really interesting...

The maker "65" was: Klein & Quenzer, Idar Oberstein
