      It's the typical Saxon mounting... I have already seen it, although it's quite rare.

        Dems been slid off ands go duther way, so's all brass covered UNNER reebons.

        Either assembler, wearer, or seller is dyslexic: God help them trying to wind up a sword or dagger knot properly!

          Would be a Saxon "Frackspange" or "Frock coat bar" for wear with formal evening dress. Note the order of the medals is always reversed.
