    Imperial Navy Badge by Schott?

    Did you ever see a bronze die stamped badge,Naval, crown, anchor and imperial flag with rope by shott. Ill try to post the one my father brought back in 45. No camera yet just a good scanner.

    Without any more details than that (pinback? ribboned? size?) it sounds like the sort of veterans' badge worn by the Navy League,

    Could be Imperial period, or Weimar. Anybody know what else Schott may have made (and when?) beside 1918 U-boat badges, and this piece?

      Professor Walter Schot designed the Remembrance Badges for Navy and Army Airships (Zeppelins) under contract form the German government in August 1920 and produced the badge at his firm in Berlin. They are marked: Walter Schot, fec. I have a Navy version of the badge he produced (the only Navy Zep I am fully comfortable with). His mark has also been seen on a Navy Sea Pilot Badge and several U-Boat badges.

        Thanks for the help with this badge . They really look good.They would have made a naval hat look even better than the cloth crown
