Opinions on this Saxe-Ernestine 2nd class please

Dear Imperial collectors

I just received this Saxe-Ernestine 2nd class today. It has a gold centre and the overall quality is excellent. I am just a bit confused about thick silver rim around its four arms. Most of the Saxe-Ernestine orders I have seen have arms like my knight 1st class. Is my 2nd class a variation? Thanks in advance.
