This is a Postcard from my Great Grandfathers Photoalbum.

Most of the Cards are from France & Belgium but from this one,I don't get a Clue where and who is on this Photo.

I hope someone can help me out.

fancy dress

It looks like the cast of a "play" to entertain themselves. There are pieces of French Morrocan (wearing the fez), Scottish in a mini-skirt, Italian in the pith helmet ( front and centre), and various interpretations of British "styled" uniforms, Arab irregulars (back right of photo), French (bdark uniform next to fez), Russian ( front,far left); generally it looks like a parody on the uniforms and soldiers from the Allies' side. May be some photos of his friends being silly and trying to be entertaining or even possibly prisoners of war (very doubtful) being silly as part of camp entertainment. I can't read that kind of script used for the German writing on the back. Maybe someone out there can read it because what was written is the best clue.
Very interesting and entertaining photo ! I like it.
