Here is a little gem I just found in an antique mall. It is a gold 23mm cross pin with a crossed sword and rifle through the center. In the center is a helmet that could be German or even American if the short spike is correct. The top and bottom arms are inscribed "DM" and "UV" while the
left and right arms carry the dates "1896" and "1921" The entire piece looks like thin rolled gold which has been die cut and engraved. I am trying to second guess the initials DMUV and the best I can come up with so far is "Deutsche Militaer Unterstuetzungs Verein. I hope someone here might know for sure and will attach a scan.
