Oldenburger FA Cross with case and MAKER!

I've never seen the case and a maker for that cross. Very interesting:

I am not hunting for cases. Try to get it Rick. I am only interested in that maker. If he made ALL FA-Crosses of Oldenburg? Would be one of these mysterious makers like these who made the Braunschweiger or Hanseatic Crosses.

          YES!

Knauer was the House Jeweler, I've seen his logo on Oldenburg House Merit Order cases and here's a Second Class cross with maker-marked packet of issue:

              Nice close up of...

... the maker mark on a packet. This time for an Oldenburg Regimental Medal, ex-Niemann, currently in a Private California Collection

It is nice to see confirmation that Knauer made these... I wonder why they didn't bother marking them?

Was it as simple as "steel" was "beneath" them? That would br an odd attitude for the Court Jeweller!!!

except The expensivemeister wants $325 for his. To me,
that makes this cased 1st cl. a steal at 104 Euros, stogie.

                    regards Paul
