Question about a telephone with decor.

BoyouLa Gleize,
It is possible that this is an imperial period phone. However it appears to have received a new handset and possibly the cradle for the handset as well, circa the 1930's. The painting looks old, but it was most likely done by the owner on his personal phone in his office (It would be illegal to deface a government owned phone in the way). After my camera batteries recharge, I will post some photos of my Imperial German Army office phone with the Imperial crest on each side. This will show, the WW1 period handset and cradle.
