    Extremely rare 1870-71 Medal bar

This bar is going to be sold at the next auction of Herrn Zeige...

I have never seen an example of a IC 2nd class with the "Wiederholungspangen 1914" over the 25 years oak leaves on a medal bar! That must be very rare indeed. Any comments on the bar?

Since I have been collecting I never so such a bar. This guy must have been quite old by 1914 (between 65-70) but he still managed to receive a couple of decorations during WWI, too (probably as nicht-Kämpfer, see the KVK 2nd Class of Braunschweig). Notice also that the IC 2nd class 1870 is a in "Prinzengrösse" or better said 3/4 size. Quite something, isn't?

    Ciao,

    Claudio

      JeMc,

The last Medal is the "silberne Regierungsjubiliäumsmedaille 1896, Anhalt" sort of commemorative medal of the local government. This medal is listed on the "Orden & Ehrenzeichen Katalog" as # OEK 73.

The third medal from the right is also a cross from the Anhalt-Gesamtstaat, better known as "Friedrich-Kreuz 1914-1968 am Band" OEK 81.

Could someone confirm me if this latter one is on a "nicht-Kämpfer" Band?

      Thank you!

      Ciao,

      Claudio
