    interesting GODET buttonhole ribbons

    Hi Guys,

I have this small buttonier in my collection.
It is made from 9mm ribbons and shows:

    - 2 EK ribbons
    - probably a Johanniter order
    - Hohenzollern order
    - either a Crown order or a Württemberg Friedrich order
    - probably a Sachsen-Weimar order of the falcon
    - Rumania Order of the star
    - probably a Sweden order of Wasa

What kind of guy might have worn this combo?

    Best regards

    Daniel

Ooooooo, REAL hard without devices, even, to go by:

I'd say EK, HHO(X), Johanitter, WWI Principality of Hohenzollern House Order(X), WWI Württemberg FO(X). Why? Because no long service or 1897, a peacetime Principality of Hohenzollern was possible, in which case the pale blue must be Wtbg because a Prussian Crown Order would have had precedence. Not likely a reserve officer... with that array and no LD2.

My best guess is a regular Hauptmann or char. Major aD.

Lord alone knows what the red (could have been German OR foreign in that spot) or green ribbons might have been!
