nice find, could it be, that there are a series of books exist with the same picture on the front?

Yes. As far as I know there are magazines for each year from 1914-1918 all with the same cover.

Magazines

I have them them for most of the war starting with the first issue. They have some very interesting illustrations and maps. Bound copies were produced each of about 500 pages. You can find copies on the ZVAB.com book search engine.
