A Red Eagle 2. Class with Swords, Crown and Oakleafes and his owner

I am sure the RAO 2 w/Crown/X AND Oakleafes doesn't grow on trees. Here is a pic of GenLt von Staabs wearing this ultra-rare decoration. I have found this pic and a lot more in an old magazine (see thread "Some old magazines..."):

Makes me wonder how many of such a variation were
bestowed?

RAO is one of my favourite decorations because each
center medaillon eagle, wreath, are individually hand
painted. Therefore, no two are ever exactly alike.

It is really a rarity.
Only 28 REO 2 with crown and swords were awarded.
