What can anyone tell me about the Ritter des Bayern Verdienstordens von HL Michael? It was at least awarded during the 19th century.

Hi Darren,

The St. Michael’s Order was founded on 16 February 1837 by King Ludwig I. The knight’s crosses (1st and 2nd class) were awarded from then until the revisions of 1887 at which time they were replaced by the 3rd and 4th class crosses.
