PLM for consideration

I was given this PLM yesterday to photograph and post pictures for a friend on the WAF for your consideration. This is not mine and I am a PLM neophyte, at best. The owner purchased it with the belief it is an inter-war replacement piece and now wants to have some independent experts (you) opine. The stats:

weight: 19.3g
measures 53x53mm from tip to tip, 56 if you include the hump at the top.
The eagles measure 36x36mm from the tops of their heads to the next.

J.G. & S. is on the top as you can see in the picture.

Bronze gilt Godet made piece. Certainly not easy to place, but one would be safe to say it was made between WWI and the 1930th. I actually had this piece in my hands quite a few times.
