A while ago I got this ribbon bar with luftschutz medal on the last place. It looks well made, black light test is negative, no brass on reverse, but I'm wondering if the last ribbon (Luftschutz) may be a replacement for something less common - like hinenburg cross. As far as I know Hindenburgs were awarded on request, not automatically, so it could be possible that this guy simply didn't fill out the for for Hindenburg's cross? But is this likely? I would say that any WW1 veteran who did not request for Hindenburg's cross, also didn't care to get any ribbon bar, right? is it a possible original combination or post-war refinement?
Thanks for any opinions, Valter
