1870-71 medal with bar

my latest acquisition, bought this morning:

By the look of it the frame wasn't done yesterday, certainly not by looking at the back.
A detail of the written text - not all is clear to me, I can read "Gefreiter", his last name Hemper of the 8th Company/5th ??? Infanterieregiment N******176; 53.
