    Medal bar ID

    Greetings-

    I have a medal bar that I’m hoping can be identified to an individual. From L-R;

    EK2 (combatant ribbon)
    Wurttemburg Golden Military Merit Medal
    Lubeck Hanseatic Cross
    Hindenburg Cross

    I’m hoping that because of the low number of WGMMMs and the Lubeck Crosses awarded that this soldier can be identified.

    No chance until the Lübeck award rolls do not turn up.

    The Württemberg medal was awarded from enlisted men to Officers up to 1st Lt - the Lübeck cross went also to all grades, no peacetime awards...

    Sorry.

    Daniel

      nuts!

      Right now it's hard to explain how disappointed I am to hear that. I took a gamble when I bought this bar that I would be able to identify the orginal owner.

      I thought the Lubeck rolls were available. I'll have to read that section in the O'connor book again. I seem to remember him going over to Germany and looking through a Hanseatic roll.

          I do not say the lists are forever gone; they are still around somewhere but not published.

          Best regards
