Here's a very nice silver medal with exceptional toning. My guess is that is a Weimar-era piece.
Anyone know anything about these? Is it from a particular state, or is it a generic-type award?

In the second volume of Littlejohn & Dodkins there are several State & area awards, all very similar, (Crossed axes, helmet etc.) The one you post is much like the N. Rhineland Fire Brigade Cross of Merit.
