    SEH Verdienstmedaille in Silber

Merry Christmas to all the imperialites!

I just couldn't resist not to post a Christmas present I received from my brother Marco. It's a Silberne Verdienstmedaille des Herzogs Carl Eduard mit Bandspange "1914-7" und Schwertern. I really do have a soft spot for these nice "Sächsische Herzogtümer" medals with their nice swords devices.

    Here it is...

    Ciao,

    Claudio

I don't know about others, but these attachments don't work.

I must admit, as a newbie, to having problems with images on this forum.

Once my university web space cooperates, posting with the IMG ... /IMG drill will work, but 'tis cumbersome.

        Sigh, . . .

No, I don't get them either. Claudio-- are these jpegs? Have you clicked them directly onto the site or made links?

We seem to be having some sort of transmission (I have no clue what the correct terms are) or "translation" problem with some of our European members with things going into bitmap instead of jpeg--and showing up as "click ons" in the text instead of downloaded onto the site with the usual name and message when Association members download directly.

          I have informed da boss.

            it works now!

            Ed and Rick,

Now the pictures should be visible... the problem was that the title of my pics where too long and full of special sign and accents (like Umlaut).

I hope you can see them, too.

I am posting also a picture of a Silberne Medaille mounted on a single bar without sword devices, but with the manufacturer's label on the reverse.

            Ciao,

            Claudio

              4 place ribbon bars

              Dear imperialites,

Herewith I am posting a very modest but perfectly tailored medal bar of a Saxon front soldier... Please note the "Feuervergoldete Spangen" on the "Flanderkreuz" and the very good looking (at least to me) Medaille des Sachsen-Ernestinischen Hausordens Sachsen-Coburg-Gotha, Herzog Carl Eduard, Silberne Verdienstmedaille mit Schwertern.

Please don't be shy to show me also your medals of the Saxony Duchies (Herzogtümer)...

              Ciao,

              Claudio

                  Dear fellow imperialites,

I am proud to show you my latest aquisition, which I bought on Ebay Deutschland:
