EK2 ribbon widths?

I got this one two days ago with an unmounted KO EK2. It measures 25cm (I think (maybe mm*???)) or almost exactly 1 inch in width.
The only other EK2 I have is bar-mounted and the ribbon measures 31cm/mm or almost an inch and a quarter. The two ribbon bar EK2 ribbons I have look to be 14.5 and 15.5 cm/mm in width.

So what's the standard ribbon width? Or is there one? It seems most of my imperial ribbons (many are repros) are 30 to 35mm in width. Why's this one ribbon 25mm? Did it get washed in hot water one too many times?



* would that this newfangled metric system was a bit more user friendly.
PS. I think it's 2.5cm or 25mm. recht?

I just checked about 5 and all are 30cm. Even the ones on medal bars.

On my various EK 2's I have 28mm (Mainly used as ribbon bar width), 30mm, 33mm, one oddity that measures 35mm (more on that one) and 40mm (Austrian or south German width for trapezoidal mounts). All of these are original ribbons that came on the crosses. Here is a photo of the oddity. Yes this did come on an EK (an "LW") and part of the reason I bought it at the time was the ribbon. Just goes to show that the variations of the 1914 EK 2 and associated items are endless.

Daniel, that's an 1813 style ribbon but the weave is coarser than the original 1813. 35 mm was standard width.
