this flaw is also present on an flight badge in previteras book imperial sky from erich serno this came from his personal badges, they think a gift from after ww1 but not a fake! i think not all of them with the flaw is a fake!
A lot of new information wrt flight badges has come out in recent years. Baldes and Previtera both published epic tomes on these. I would not base a purchase on any of these older threads.
